Welcome Artists and Farmers!  Application Deadline: February 15, 2018

About the Program - Mosaic Forms coordinates design and function with El Jardin, a non-profit organization located in Vista/Bonsall, California (North San Diego County). El Jardin is an intentional community of organic farmers and artists. The community consists of a large home, laundry facility and a heated swimming pool with outdoor heated showers and bathroom. Participants are provided private living accommodations and meals for the two week residency period.

Those interested in farming will complete the same process as the artists. Please submit a resume and cover letter explaining why you want the residency, how it will enrich your life, areas of expertise, desired date of arrival and your planned contributions in detail. El Jardin typically selects farmers/gardeners in April, May and June as these are the busy farming months on the property. Artists are typically selected during the months of July, August and September.

Residencies are typically a 2 week period of time depending on the proposed and accepted project. Contributions made by all residents will stay with the property and once a year El Jardin hosts an appreciation Dinner/BBQ to all past and present residents free of charge. 

Application Process -

1. Applicants must provide a resume or CV

2. a letter of interest (500 words), 6 jpg pictures of their past work with dimensions and/or website,

3. a proposed project summary (500 words) for the property, and

4. desired month of arrival: (dates)

 

The application deadline is FEBRUARY 15, 2018. Skype interviews will be scheduled upon selection. THERE IS NO PARKING on the farm or at the street. Airport/bus/train pick up and drop off services will be provided along with limited transportation services during the residency. Please submit your application to eljardinsuper@gmail.com.
